We would like to remind you of all of the upcoming important dates in the next few weeks! Wednesday, March 19, 2008, is our last day of After-School Programming before Spring Break.

Spring Break is from March 21-30, 2008. After School Programming will also be cancelled April

28-May 1, 2008 for school-wide testing. We will be open for childcare during these dates. If you have any questions about this please feel free to contact us!  

 

                                                                   

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We want to update you on our Read-A-Thon! There are only two more days for the students to hand in their reading sheets to be counted toward the Read-A-Thon goal. As of this publication, we have read 1,176 books! The students have done an excellent job reading books! We are so proud of all of their efforts! We would also like to thank you for helping us and your students work toward our goal. This would not have been possible without your help and support, so thank you for all of your hard work as well!!

Our Read-A-Thon Wrap-Up Party will be Wednes

day, March 19, 2008 in the Cedar Heights Gym. The awards ceremony will begin at 5. Immediately following we will be providing dinner for all of our students and their families who choose to attend. RSVPs were sent home last week. If you did not receive one, please let us know if you will be attending so that we can make sure we have enough food for all of our guests! We will be open for an extra half hour on Wednesday to accommodate some of our parents who have to work late. We want to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to participate, and therefore, we will be open until 6:30

pm. If you would like to attend, please tell Della Maynard or Moses Garcia so that we can add you to the list!

With two days left to turn in books, please encourage any student who has not turned in a reading log to do so, because students who did not participate in the Read-A-Thon will not be able to participate in the Wrap-Up Party. It is our goal for all of our students to participate, so please encourage your student to hand something in so that they are all able to celebrate the hard work of the group! Thank you and we hope to see all of you at our Wrap-Up Party on Wednesday!
